Legendary Punk Band Cock Sparrer to Hang Their Boots with Their Last Album: Hand on Heart

Cock Sparrer has officially announced that they will be releasing their last ever album Hand on Heart. The collection will release in April 2024, and will feel like a last goodbye in many ways.

A superb, underrated punk band with many archetypes, they were formed in 1972. This is even before bands like Sex Pistols began, blew up and eventually fizzled out. They have released 7 studio albums till now, the last being Forever, in 2017. The legendary band still has its original four members, 5 decades later. Vocalist Colin McFaull, guitarist Mick Beaufoy, bassist Steve Burgess, and drummer Steve Bruce have brought a certain magic that will be missed, but cherished for long after.

The album, due for release on 5th April 2024 will also feature string arrangements from Simon Dobson, who has worked with metalcore juggernauts like Bring Me the Horizon. The sound promises to be that anthemic echo that Cock Sparrer are known for.

The kind of touch they bring punk is unlike any other band from the region. It is a sound that had an amalgam of several other elements, yet had the raw approach of punk.

They will have two album release shows, one on April 6th at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and April 13th at Glasgow’s O2 Academy.

Listen to some of their best music here, and wait in anticipation with us for their last album to drop!:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
