London-based avant-pop musician, Hyper Lion collabs with Essa V for his single, B Ok. Taken from his brand new album, Koinkidink, the artist track is dreamy pop at its best. With its psychedelic curves of melodies, soulful vocals, and electronica, the genre-bending track ambitiously scales conventional styles.
Hyper Lion debuted with his dystopian EP, Red7, and since then released several mesmerizing EPs that showcase his diverse palette and eclectic musical style.
The song has an overarching appeal. Its seamless circles of soothing synths form a beautiful backdrop evoking coalescing visuals. As the patterns bleed into a cosmic swirl, the fresh vocals and alluring harmonies are folded into them. A skyfall of beats punctuate the track as strong silver bass lines snake through the hypnotic weaves. Reminiscent of Tame Impala’s ravishing soundscapes, the artist erects a glowing maze of dancing synths.
Hyper Lion is ½ of Pariis Opera House, formed by Hyper Lion and Kidd Wolff in 2011. The duo remixed The Wanted’s ‘Chasing the Sun’ in 2012 which received wide acclaim. They debuted with Universe on BBC introducing in 2013, from which the single, Dragndrop was picked up by Lauren Laverne. Since then the duo has played at several festivals and clubs and soundtracked Hollywood films, TV Shows, adverts, and games.
