The Kiss That Took A Trip imagine layers upon layers with experimental “Horror Vacui”

You don’t own your headspace with The Kiss That Took A Trip. This is a project that takes ambient sounds to a whole other extreme. There’s a reason it’s not going to be a single track that you listen to, as an album. We’re diving into a strange EP, so you better leave the lights on. This one is called Horror Vacui.

Look, I don’t have sleep paralysis. Yet as a cinematographer, if I was shooting a scene with one being represented, this is the song. With the slow burn kind of build, you’re treated to many layers in this sonic experiment. Strings come together with deeper notes to enchant you, while having crisp edges with the time signatures. The piano leads the piece after some time, building to become a synth delight. Though one mood cannot be the core association, there is a layer of several sounds that is coming together.

Visuals and sound galleries, galore

This is psychedelia detailed to a creative degree. Melodies take up the entire vacuum of space while the track keeps churning out more escape routes. I liked how well The Kiss That Took A Trip has detailed the tones and notations for the whole, powerful track. M.D. Trello is onto something deeper, carved into every memory stick and operating RAM, while having that impactful human touch to the songs.

Blue is the Flame, Skull and Crossbones, whatever it may be-each song is dedicated to a deeper narrative and story being told with a passion. I loved how it has been compacted into one piece of ultimate music, that you can witness and experience as a whole. Listen to the song here and follow The Kiss That Took A Trip on Instagram!:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
