Soaring Through the Fog with This Dreamy Electronica EP “Am I a Good Man?” by Bad Bubble

Bad Bubble is a genre-pushing singer, songwriter and producer. Blending elements of synthpop, new wave and ambient electronica, Bad Bubble crafts intricate melodic journeys that transport listeners to new worlds. With his soulful vocals and lush multi-part harmonies, Bad Bubble imbues each track with raw emotion and storytelling. His lyrics offer introspective glimpses into the human experience alongside fantasies of the cosmic unknown.

Bad Bubble has released a new EP “Am I a Good Man?” featuring 4 songs.

“Dizzy Face” opens the EP with an introspective, melancholy quality. Slow-building synthesizers and keyboards create a meditative atmosphere, accompanied by vocal work that has a retro style. The song has a sad and reflective feeling, yet also seems aimed at providing calm and a sense that even in difficult times, hope remains possible. Subtle instrumental elements are sprinkled throughout, hitting the right notes to complement the mood.

“Foglife” by Bad Bubble has an atmospheric and dreamlike quality to it. The vocals have a hazy, ethereal texture that draws you in. Underneath are layers of electronic sounds and textures that shimmer and evolve throughout the track, keeping it interesting. The beats provide a pulse that makes the song engaging to listen to. The rhythm section gives the brain and body something to latch onto as the other elements float around it. The dreamy vocal delivery by Bad Bubble is quite appealing and enhances the surreal, melodic mood created by the music. His vocals stole the show for me.

“Knives and Pills” has a hypnotic quality. The vocals have this haunting echo that makes it feel like they’re coming from far away, drifting through the fog. It conjures up images of floating down a misty river or drifting on a cloud. The electronic beats and synths add to this trance-like feel. They swirl and pulse in a way that’s almost mesmerizing. As the different elements layer in, it gets more enveloping and immersive. You can picture closing your eyes and letting the sounds wash over you. There’s a real sense of flow and motion to the song. It transports you to another plane.

“Super Drip” truly lives up to its lengthy 9+ minutes runtime with its sprawling sound design and shifting textures. Opening with a haunting synth pad, it immediately sets an unsettled yet intriguing mood. Glitchy hits and offset rhythms emerge, giving the song an unhinged energy.

As more layers build, the track becomes a dense soundscape of otherworldly tones. However, beneath it all lies a pulsating bassline that holds the song together. Its ominous pulses drive the intensified atmosphere forward. In its closing stages, “Super Drip” by Bad Bubble finds resolution through its simplified textures and relaxed rhythmic groove. Layers strip away to reveal intimate synth programming and a spaced-out emotional clarity. It leaves you with a cathartic release after the prior sonic onslaught.
