Proklaim, the rapper with a unique reggaeton hip-hop sound, has been making waves with a slew of releases lately, keeping more pace than ever with how much material he puts out — and on his latest single, “Prosperity”, he continues his display of prowess and talent — keep reading for my thoughts!
Unlike Proklaim’s other tracks that follow a high-energy, dancey rhythm, “Prosperity” is introspection in its sound — from the deeper sounds in the production to the slower style of rapping that pervades through this song, this track makes it clear that it has deeper lyrics and meanings than usual fare — and it makes you sit up and take notice. Proklaim’s prowess as a lyricist and songwriter shines through brilliantly here — with his steady, skilled flow taking over the minimalistically produced hip-hop beat to keep you engaged and bobbing your head gently to the rhythm.

Proclaims flow and delivery have attracted much praise in the past — and this time, it’s no other story; each bar, and each line is tastefully executed, with just the right amount of emphasis going into the lines, and excellent use of breath and cadence throughout the delivery to keep things technical, yet flowy and smooth throughout “Prosperity”.’
The production on this track makes use of the pianos and the minimal percussion to really drive forward the minimal atmosphere, which has quite the poignant sound, if you ask me; and throughout the four-minute runtime of this track, there’s oodles of atmosphere to keep the listener company; and the use of sampling work is also worth much appreciation.
All in all, “Prosperity”, by Proklaim: A continuing evolution of an up-and-comer in the rapping game — and with every release, it just gets better and better. Check out the track here!
