The intro to the track is smooth and flowy, with the clean guitar riff playing perfect counterpart to the synths pads in the background, setting the stage as the percussion department enters and settles us into a rhythm. The bass hits low and hard, and the overall vibe is very,,, ballad-like, in that it tells a story.

As the vocals make their entrance, I have to emphasise the songwriting– and the themes that Bolton delves into here are powerful and poignant, and are coupled with some beautiful melodies that go perfectly with the accompaniment, resulting in a therapeutic, relaxing experience.

The production, as I alluded to earlier, is a smooth mix of downtempo Afro-style electronic music, coupled with smooth, silky pads and catchy guitar lines that persist through the runtime of the song, and gives it a positive, welcoming sound. The mix and master manage to hold the various elements of the track together rather well, and the result is a soundstage that sounds rather well-used, and has space for every instrument.
