Singer-songwriter Noelle Toland brings a modern sound to country music with the second single of her career – “I Want To See You Again” – a heartwarming composition that hits all the right notes. On “I Want To See You Again”, Noelle Toland collaborates with legendary soul guitarist Steve Cropper as part of the four-song EP – The Sun Will Rise. The track begins with Toland’s soaring, dynamic vocals – “Normally I play hard to get / Something ’bout you I don’t know yet / I’ll take a chance on this maybe romance / Tell you how I feel, I’ll spin the wheel “. Accompanied by a classy pedal steel and a laid-back drum groove, she sings a heartfelt tune that captures the essence of country music. With lyrics that are all too relatable and catchy melodies, the track showcases Toland’s emotions of nostalgia, love and longing excellently.
Toland’s debut EP is a 90s influenced country record that is also a tribute to artists like Trisha Yearwood and Faith Hill. Through her music, she hopes to inspire people to take chances and be bold. She captures this in “I Want To See You Again” by understanding that sometimes the heart wants what it wants.
