“Your Perfect” by LED Is a Punk-Edged Alt Rock Anthem

LED is a Los Angeles-based indie pop-punk/rock trio made up of Layne Olivia, Lockett, and Edie Yvonne. They first connected at film camp, where they began working together and wrote their debut song, “Lies All Lies,” for a short film they were creating at the Pac Theater. After that, they kept building by creating new music, rehearsing constantly, and playing local shows ever since.

LED’s new single, “Your Perfect,” is out, and it starts strong, right away. The song opens with punk-edged riffs, all attitude and energy, and then quickly, the female vocal work jumps in. They are expressive, a little rebellious, and very present.

As the track settles, the beats come in, and everything starts building momentum. You can feel how carefully the song is shaped, especially in the ebb and flow. The build-up toward the chorus is one of my favorite parts because it feels earned. And when the chorus finally hits, you really will love every inch of it.

Near the climax, the track gets even more interesting with a trippy vocal effect where the voices overlap, like two versions of the same emotion fighting for space. It sounds both messy and intentional, in the best way, and makes the song feel more unique instead of predictable.

The vocals carry a mix of sadness, frustration, and excitement, and it fits the lyrics perfectly. The song talks about everyday struggles and that deep fear of falling short, especially when everything feels high-stakes. It’s honest, intense, and catchy enough to keep you coming back.
