Snap Infraction are a band you might not have heard of, but should. Their energy is infectious, through your mindless apps and distractions. If there is a way to stream art, you should be hooked onto theirs. Their latest single is Memories of Ourselves.
Imagine a 4 chord simple rock song that you love listening to. That’s it. Walking the razor thin line of doing too less to qualify as a song (I’m looking at your, Billboard Top 10 artists) to doing way too much that it becomes redundant ( Keep rolling over Beethoven), Snap Infraction find the balance a song needs. Also, you don’t need a mind melting solo (its the norm now) to have a song stuck in your head like Memories of Ourselves. The lyrics are surreal, sub textual and a nerds delight. That is why I proudly endorse Snap Infraction.
All good things come in twos. That’s a load of horseshit, but in this case it rings true. The B-side of this track is Suburban Legend, a softer impact from the crashing echoes that was the previous rocker. This is a ballad, but for everybody. The group is not lovelorn, they’re just getting ready to share and spread their love. With fun chord shifts and tonal changes, Snap Infraction breaks from the arrhythmic changes that seem to get people off nowadays and give you classic rock at its best. Don’t like it? Doesn’t matter, because the stories they spin will just get better.
