Space* isn’t new to this game. His tracks have constantly strived for more. With his EP Clouded Space in 2019, he broke through the glass ceiling of putting his content out. Now he shifts gears in 2022, releasing some music with evocative lyrics and magical instrumentation. His layering is unparalleled and creates a vortex of sound that only he navigates. This is his latest single, Snow in The Spring.
With echoing synths and choir sounds melding to create what is a dreamy setting, Space* puts together scrumptious bars that try to divide and conquer. Instead of spitting a hundred lines in lightning speed, he makes each verse and line count for something. This collaboration with 6ix12 also shows his way of merging art forms and styles to make something unique.
His 2021 EP Self Reflection was a powerful album, having to encapsulate what was a pivotal moment in many people’s lives. Here he gauges the change in climate, in his mind and environment around him. The background he uses is dynamic enough to keep it an enticing listen. His lyrics are the golden nugget you find by the time you’re done hearing his single track, a collection of verses and powerful prose that he composes with the utmost care.
