The writing engulfs you more as the song proceeds, and Lee Trent masterfully expresses his equation with his love partner with very simple word choices. The songs are not simply about showing the positives in the relationship; rather, he picks occurrences that may be the ups and downs of the relationship, but how these incidents formed his perspective on it. So, basically, the songwriting has clearly defined in terms of the song’s purpose. The vocal performance is also presented with a lot of clarity, which helps the mood and conveys the emotion to the listeners directly.
In terms of production, the textured pads in the start do a great job of getting you in the mood. There are fantastic guitar lines that would undoubtedly add a lot of energy, and the arpeggiated synthesisers really keep the pace going. The unexpected yet delightful transition in the beginning of the groove truly adds to the track’s production value. Furthermore, the vocal arrangements, with the chops and mix, have a strong impact on the mood. The song’s arc kept me interested, and the rises and dips are quite effective. Overall, the tune has a pleasant mood, and the uniqueness in the production is rather outstanding.
