Quantum treat silence like an experimental space of limbo. Not only do they wrap their frenzied riffs and lyrics around the overlooked things in life, but make sure a kick-ass song comes out of it. I had reviewed their single LIVE! last year, and this year they release DESPERATE(LY), their second single.
Packed with riffs and an unorthodox time signature, this is a blend of metalcore at its best from Quantum. This group has constantly met expectations with a six string attack or a double bass strafe that isn’t quantifiable. In this case, the single really stretches out in the vocals, seeking for the desperation they depict with the chord structure and effect of the song. Though a hybrid between screaming and clean vocals isn’t as much as other tracks, this is what makes it different.
The instruments as usual are polished and tend to demand a raucous reaction from any listener who is a fan. From RISE to ABSOLUT( A Brief Story of Life’s Unspoken Truths), Quantum know how to volumize the riffs to take up the mass credentials they do with powerful impact. From the tests of time during the pandemic to the support they’ve garnered since RISE, Quantum are making a microcosmic change, one powerful anthem at a time.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
