Rj Bacon’s Jazzy Smooth and Bluesy Sultry “Three Minute Noodles”

Rj Bacon with his latest EP, “Three Minute Noodles” creates a stunning collection of lounge jazz blues that will leave you feeling relaxed and satisfied.

Russell “Rj” Bacon is a recording artist and producer from Sydney, Australia. He is also a cinematographer and writer. This is his seventh self-produced record from his own studio in Sydney. With seven tracks spanning just over 22 minutes, this record is a tasty blend of cool, bluesy jazz ‘noodles’ that is perfect for enjoying with your favourite scotch.

One of the most impressive things about this EP is that Bacon plays all the instruments himself, showcasing his versatility as a musician and producer. The album began as a collection of riffs and progressions but has now evolved into a sophisticated set of tracks that showcase Rj Bacon’s ability to craft intricate and intelligent cerebral improvisation on jazz chord changes.

The feel of the record is perfectly suited to classy retro late-night clubs, with each track building stunning motifs and expertly executed solos that will keep you grooving. From the slow and smooth blues jazz of “Beach Shadows” with its sexy saxophone playing and stunning piano improvisation, to the primarily piano-driven “West 44th” with its subtle Latin percussion, there is something for everyone on this EP.

“Ten Pin” is a tight jazz blues number with some clean guitar work that is sure to please, while “Late in the Day” has a Latin jazz blues pop vibe and is the perfect laid-back track for winding down. “Three Minute Noodle,” the EP’s titular track, is a standout with its bluesy magic and impeccable songwriting, and improvisational prowess. The EP closes with “Her White Dress,” a serene lounge jazz song with stunning saxophone playing and apt percussion. It’s the perfect way to end the record, leaving you feeling relaxed and content.

It’s clear that Rj Bacon is a master of his craft, both as a musician and a producer. His attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the EP, from the intricate arrangements to the seamless production. The result is a record that feels cohesive and polished, yet still maintains a sense of spontaneity and improvisation that keeps the listener engaged. With its smooth and sultry sound, it’s the perfect accompaniment for a night in or a relaxed evening with friends. Rj Bacon has truly outdone himself with this release, and it’s clear that his talent is only continuing to grow with each new project.

“Three Minute Noodles” is a must-listen for any fan of smooth jazz with blues influences. Bacon’s impressive musical talent shines through in every track, and the EP is a testament to his ability to create sophisticated and engaging music. If you’re looking for something to add to your chill-out playlist, this is definitely an EP to check out.
