Nicholas Scout Weaver or Scout. is an Independent singer-songwriter and producer based in the United States. While he’s still discovering his sound, he does derive a lot of inspiration from R&B, Hip Hop and Country. He makes use of these sounds to craft a delectable taste of his own. He’s also been hard at work since his first release in 2020 with 22 singles and an EP already to his name. It’s only a matter of time till we hear a full-length album from Scout. Even at the time of this article, he has already released another single entitled Won’t You.
Shut It Down is a rather experimental and interesting track. It reminds me of the lap steel guitar in SpongeBob Squarepants in the intro, but the sample is incredible. Scout. has a brilliant flow that keeps everything groovy. Moreover, the instrumental is extremely lively, keeping you engaged at every moment. While the main melody repeats itself with some variations, the hypnotic rhythm is infectious and will have you grooving along to it almost instantly. The beat is rather simple but so dynamic and it keeps things fresh! With so much to offer in this track, there’s only so much justice that words can do.
Scout. has got what it takes to craft a sound that can get anyone in the mood. With a voice and sound that sounds unique and amazing, there’s not much to fault him on.
