Connor Terrones – What Can I Do? | Iconic

Connor Terrones is a singer and songwriter from  Colorado Springs. His music is eclectic and dynamic, drawing influences from the likes of Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath to James Brown and D’Angelo. He creates music that everyone can enjoy throughout their lives; from relaxing at home on a Sunday morning with family, or going out to a party with friends. Connor has been creating music since childhood, combining all of his varied influences(funk, rock, jazz, soul, and hip-hop to name a few) into one unique sound that no one else has heard before. He has had the opportunity of opening for a number of artists, including Marbin, Durand Jones and The Indications, PJ Morton, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Knower, Joey Dosik, Flobots, Big Freedia (twice), Thundercat, and Knower.

This talented musician has released his single ‘What Can I Do?’  The song has a very unique vibe to it. It has a fairly distinct vibe that I cannot exactly put into words. The song maintains its freshness with vocal and tune alterations throughout, and it progresses at a beautiful, steady pace. The song evolves into a mystical undertone with smooth R&B as the singer talks about his thoughts on a broken relationship. ‘What Can I Do?’ was co-written with Connor’s dear friend Julian Cary The song is a call for strength and healing, as well as a reminder that we all deserve to be loved in a healthy and balanced way. I could totally relate to the lyrics of “What can I do if you keep pushing me away?” when I heard it for the first time. The rapping right in the middle of the song was unexpected, but it added more variety to the track. Definitely worth a listen!
