Stringfella’s sublime music is propulsive and very industrial. Its like a driving force pushing you forward through the dark depths of a forest. Looking back, the slender man is out to get you! Run! Run! This being the general vibe of his music, Stringfella has now released a new single, Hintergedanken.
Stringfella is an Irish techno producer whose music seems more night time oriented, with forest elements and overall a very dark industrial atmosphere. His latest single Hintergedanken is a journey between a war-torn land. As you make your way through the trenches of a war unrelated to you, you see death and suffering befall those you love and care about for absolutely no reason. A revelation for the listener, an experience just like the Buddha had. A walk through his town made him see death, sickness and hunger. These were things he was shielded from and never knew about. The sudden outburst of emotion from these experiences made him take the path of the Buddha. That is the same effect Stringfella tries to create.
A very nice intro with just some vocal manipulation and synth sounds. The kick and bass is very powerful with the right mix making them stand out as the pillars of the track. The percussions slowly creep in and are placed right but the snare could use some work. A really nice and simple arrangement of percussions just to bring in the necessary excitement with minimal effort. As the arppegiated melody pops in, the track seems to get shape. The initial one-shot synth from the intro is back and its ear candy for the listener. The vocal samples are a nice touch and give a very dark feel to this track. Sounds like something out of a 90s party on a full moon night in Goa.
