Klein is a Sydney-based electro-pop artist. Having originally been a part of the Sydney jazztronica duo FOOL, its disbandment set the artist on the course of finding his solo sound. Harry Klein’s latest single, Cut & Dirty, comes only a month after the release of his debut single, Running out of Time.
Employing his brand of dark electronica, the artist gears the polyphonic and multi-textured track to delve into the arresting perils of widespread drug use and distribution in the society. The song opens with the artist throws light on the swift and drastic rise of narcotics use and abuse among adolescents and children.
With caution crawling along the edges of this bone chilling track, the artist enlists bass harmonies and gory electronic blends to acutely sensitize his listeners to the song’s theme. Using ominous and sullen weaves, the constructs a haunted house of melody with ghoulish beats and ad-libs.
Dread and terror bubble up to the surface of this electronic music cauldron, hissing with black synths and layered with fat bass lines. The track showcases the musical mastery of the artist in representing complex themes and concepts. Klein is all geared up for the release of another single and his debut album in the next couple of months. Keep an eye out for them.
