Zight, Peter Forest – Everybody Keep Running | Encouraging

Hong Kong-based producer, Zight’s new single, “Everybody Keep Running”, is a collaboration across three continents, featuring London-based singer Peter Forest and marathoner athlete Sibusiso Madikizela from Capetown. This upbeat, progressive house track features vibrant chords and an infectious rhythm that would listen well in clubs as well as on a workout playlist. Known for his 2021 progressive single release, “Fly Away”, Zight has been making music working with artists around the globe to create his distinct sound.

Right from the beginning of the track, Forest’s raw vocals work well with the groovy bass progression and four-on-the-floor rhythm. Stabbed piano chords, wide synth arps and the main ingredient of every house song, claps, give “Everybody Keep Running” an uplifting vibe. I really liked how with every drop, the energy of the song escalated. A typical house-EDM track with a great chord progression that’s structured well.

It begins with the line, “Life is a marathon, a journey that we’re always on” which is fitting because the music video features professional runner Sibusiso Madikizela. The lyrics reflect on the fact that once we gain some momentum, we should hold on to that feeling and run with it. Forest’s natural and energetic singing style compliments the song’s mood quite well.

Stay inspired by this song, which is uplifting and thoughtful. In spite of life’s uncertainty, try your best and don’t give up. With a sound that is influenced by some EDM artists such as Martin Garrix, David Guetta, and Zedd, Zight’s track is a fresh take on electro house and can be summed up in just one word – ‘Motivational’.
