Frogmorton – I Just Wanna Dance | Nightclub

Atlanta-based multi-instrumentalist, Nick Hanchey created the project of Frogmorton. He focuses on using cosmic tunes and ethereal melody lines that almost make you feel as though you’re flying through space. His first single, Solid Logue Head, is a suite of cosmic tunes composed entirely on the Korg Minilogue. Hanchey describes it as taking you on a harrowing journey to the edges of the solar system. When Frogmorton isn’t DJing on his own, he’s usually playing various kinds of keyboards with Atlanta’s psych-rock “blast bois”, Rujen.

Just Wanna Dance is an upbeat track that I can picture playing in any number of nightclubs. However, the most vivid image I have of this track playing is probably at Brazil’s Samba Carnaval. Frogmorton makes use of multiple different synths and various tempos for each synth that it’s a track that has so many things going on for it. Ole Frogmorton uses his DJ knowledge quite well in I Just Wanna Dance and literally translates the title into the brilliant track that it is. I highly rate the Frog! You may want to get on this train before he blows up. So what are you waiting for?

I listen to and make silly noises while analysing why people behave the way they do.
