DJ G-String- Your Love (Dance Pop Remix) | Saturday Night

Chicago-based artist and turntablist DJ G-String has been captivated by the world of dance music since she was a teenager. At the age of 14, she became fascinated with learning how to mix music and has been pursuing that passion ever since. With over 20 years of experience as a resident and guest DJ in and around the city, her journey led her to release her own tracks in 2020. She recently released a house track called ‘Your Love (Dance Pop Remix)’, which is a definite banger and will certainly get your feet moving!

The track begins with powerful vocals within the first few seconds and is accompanied by some stab chords on the keys. I like how she introduces the track with the hook line since it’s repetitive and has a catchy melody – you’ll have a hard time getting the tune out of your head! – “Every time I break, every time you catch me and I feel loved / Your love takes me higher, makes me wiser, takes me higher, higher.” The subtle instrumentation in the intro section blends well with the house percussions, creating just the right tension that breaks in a satisfying way at the end.

The track has typical four-on-the-floor beats and a strong bassline that makes it very vibrant. It also has a great amount of energy and excitement that will keep any dance club enthusiast engaged. Using the familiar elements of house music, the artist brings in cinematic strings and lush synthesizers as the track progresses. Additionally, an intense interlude section flows right into the final chorus that hits just the right spots! DJ G-String definitely knows her stuff, and her masterful mix makes the track all the more enjoyable to listen to.
