PAGES. is a Scottish, three-piece alternative pop band. The trio met in high school and have continued to work on pop music together ever since. Coming off of their success with their debut single, Bubble Brain, the trio have since worked really hard to create new music. Having felt the effects of the pandemic largely, the trio slowly worked their way through a small rut in early 2020, until they began working on new music.
Their latest release, Black And Blue is a groovy, heavy track that seems to take the Pop Rock genre to a new level. The guitar and drums play a very important role in establishing the rhythm of the track. The vocals fit so perfectly into the mix. I really enjoy the backing vocals that add to the atmosphere of the track. While the track sounds kind of hostile, the vocals seem to tone that down. In all honesty, the song sounds like it would fit in well with a soundtrack for a dark, slow-burn TV show. The guitar solo sounds so great. There’s so much about this track that just makes sense and gives the track this whole sound.
I, personally, dig the PAGES. vibe. The band does a great job with their individual compositions that the whole track comes together so well. I can go on and on about this, but PAGES. will show you what they’re all about with their music alone.
