Bones In Butter – A Dystopian Love Song | Back in Time

Bones In Butter is a project led by Milutin Krašević, comprising six music lovers and creators- Luna Skopelja (vocals and samples), Todor Zivkovic (guitars), Dejan Skopelja (bass), Tom Fedja Franklin (drums), and Srdjan Popov (drums). This is not just a band. They are a story that needs to be told. A band where multiple influences seamlessly meld into one, yet it remains distinctively individual. To put it simply, they are some of the most promising musicians in the Belgrade Alternative scene. Bones in Butter has a distinct, melodious and adventurous sound. Their evocative tunes and eloquent lyrics entice you into their performance. You find yourself taken to an unknown location where they wish to take you––tear down boundaries of invention and imagination.

Their new single ‘A Dystopian Love Song’ is a feast for the soul. The guitar riffs and joyful drum beats soothe your heart and make you want to dance along to its upbeat tempo. The vocals are soaked in reverb and harmonize beautifully with the piece as a whole, almost as if you’re listening to them sing just for you. It’s hard not to love this song, which feels so retro (without feeling kitschy). What sets it apart from most indie songs is that it sounds like a true friend singing right into your ear, reminding you of what matters most in life, to “take a deep breath.” I would like to especially appreciate the video, which is so creative and heartwarming at the same time. This piece is fresh and has a sentimental feel to it.
