Bad Guru-Sunshine In Hell | Energy Tornado

Bad Guru have already got our attention with their mantra. Live in excess. Like the Americans. I digress, the point being, Bad Guru is here to advise you about the things you wouldn’t usually think about. Like the title of this track, Sunshine In Hell. Now let’s dive into this fresh track.

Swinging in with the manic energy of alt-rock, Bad Guru showcase several impeccable talents. The soaring vocals are powerful, strong lead that craft parts of the song around it. The live instruments come in with major energy and zeal, creating a vortex of swirling harmonies. The exploding drum beat keeps a steady rhythm. Guitars are a simple overlap of tones, mirroring the harmony. The ride is an all high, making the drifts necessary at the turns they create so well.

Their other tracks are equally as infectious, Medusa for example. Taking their inspirations from all the alt-rock monoliths like Smashing Pumpkins & Sonic Youth, these songs have heavy influences in many ways. This theme of minimal advice from a band is a great conceptual idea. They deliver as well, as their tracks and superior energy spewing out every time the pick hits the strings and the vocalist hits the notes. Can’t wait for more tracks like this.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
