Meet Adam, the dynamic force behind a fusion of proto-punk grit and glam rock swagger. Centred around a solid, groovy bass line that has the listener captivated since the very beginning, there is a certain charismatic quality to “Artificial Death Machine” that is alluring from the very start of the track. This continues on till the very end of the track– with its sound design that takes the liberty to experiment with various unconventional elements, and turn them into musical motifs while at it.

The vocals are presented rather well, with a baritone/tenor sound that finds itself richly layered and processed well, with harmonies that add to the tastefulness of the performance. The melodic writing also stands out, with its ability to introduce unconventional musical motifs into the track, with the ensemble chipping in at just the right times for added effect. The percussion also keeps perfect cadence, with its swinging style that keeps interest and time all through the track. The lyrics are great, too, with powerful messages overlaid upon subtle humour and wry smirks.

The mix is solid and retains great control down low, and a wide, delightful soundstage that lets all the instruments breathe in their natural timbres; and that’s a great thing. Every element feels like it belongs in the mix, further adding to the punch and polish of the production.
