Jared Bond brings an emotional ride with his poetic single, “Wild Guess”

Talk about a soothing evening rendezvous with Jared Bond. This is true songwriter blood coursing through his veins. As a musician he’s mastered a certain edge before presenting himself to us, or he’s prolific either ways. He’s released 6 songs or so this year, and all of them have a signature to it that is as personal as it is entertaining and enriching. Let AI try and replicate that. This song is called Wild Guess.

Jesse Kates, Rachel Jaggard and Mark Hamblin help Jared Bond out with this single. A simple chord progression immediately puts you in the mood, so that you can hone in on the lyrics. Self-aware, poetic and raw, the performance is reflective of all the other songs and style Jared plays in. I like how the instrumentals bring a lot of character, licks and small textural bumps when we’re not listening to Jared’s voice. Harmonics come in soon after, making a light song reflect with more levity and charm than usual.

When more people filter music through AI and computers to make it sound polished, Jared Bond is a relief and contrast. It’s almost as though he pressed record on an 8 track and got this with his friends. The song carries all of it in spirit, and his voice stands out as something he believes in. Like Sugar Rush and Love and Reason, there is more to the song than just the supposed commentary like lyrics.

This is where Jared shines, in writing songs that feel human again. From his observations to the performances, he is an open book for all to see. This is just one page of his journal, make sure you explore more!:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
