Jaan is a musical project meant for crafting unique electronic sounds and something that’s wholly refreshing and unheard before. With an avant-garde style, a highly stylised production, and sounds that are simply mesmerising, Jaan is an indie musical project with fervour and charisma. Their outstanding USP lies in their storytelling charm through eclectic, mysterious, and thought-provoking sounds. No two Jaan tracks are similar, and that tells a lot about their musical depth and ingenuity!
Recently, Jaan released yet another sonical gem called ‘Baghali’, an intense album with a tapestry of a variety of sounds intricately woven together to form something altogether fresh and unique. A joyful compilation of sounds that Jaan curates with utmost passion and love for the craft, each gem on this album takes you on an intense musical journey and makes you want to spend an eternity being lost in its bliss. These tracks are not your usual songs; they will demand a lot of your attention and calm, as each one of these is going to take you on a whirlwind ride, both emotional as well as psychological. Offering an enormous scope for interpretation, these twisty, unpredictable, unique mesh of sounds are going to stir the imaginative side in you, sending you into a whirlwind of relaxation and absorption.
The songs are nothing short of amazing; the album opener, called ‘Scented Feathers’ is a unique concept of smelling through sounds. Eerie, sophisticated, a wild, weird mesh of unknown abyss, the sounds offer something that pulls you in and makes you curious about what’s to come. Whereas ‘Purple Watermelon’ is as quirky and eccentric as the name suggests, something altogether outlandish. These tracks reflect how Jaan is so willing to experiment with the craft and not stay inside a safe, common territory that many musicians willingly choose to be in.
‘The Lush Greens of This Restless Mind’ is a song that’s relatively lighter, easy breezy, and will make you sit back and unwind to its gorgeous green bliss. While ‘Grafments of Home’ is a song that will remind you of all that it means to be at home, the smell of it, the sound of it, the feel of it, all at once.

To say Jann is capable of imagining unimaginable scenarios and portraying them aptly through music would be an understatement. In reality, it can do much more. Jaan presents an opportunity for listeners to tap into the unvisited, unknown crevices of their mind, which only exceptional art is capable of doing. And ‘Baghali’ presents exactly that opportunity through its glorious mess and flavourful art.
