Champions of Sorrow have rethought of what melodic metal might be perceived as. As dark as their mornings and emotional as their melodies, there is something about the sound they have landed on. It is a valley of creativity, the plains where you observe the sun set beyond the horizon. This is their latest epic single, The Night Makes Us.
If you haven’t heard their debut single, I urge you to do so. With The Horde, Champions of Sorrow perfectly encapsulated a genre within which we all reside. Not only does it resonate with us, but we craft something unique together. The Night Makes Us has an emotional opening, with gentle piano notes serenading us to the pain that is about to arrive.

The wreckage begins almost instantly, a barrage of guitars and guttural percussion. Champions of Sorrow merge the brutality of the melancholy with the rage tied into the same. The tones are chopped perfectly, when the explosion comes-it is felt. The ambience in the background has a larger purpose, almost controlling the emotive nature of the song.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
