Interview: Revampx Take Modern Rock to New Heights with ‘Better Without You’

We recently interviewed Revampx, an emerging rock band that focuses on creating a unique rock sound by blending the best of retro motifs with contemporary rock energy, vibrant layering, soulful songwriting, and intriguing themes that tap into human reality like never before. We recently interviewed them on their upcoming album ‘Better Without You’, a punk-rock album that features stunning alternative soundscapes and a classic vibe. Here’s what they said:

1. Your upcoming album ‘Better Without You’ is a beautiful album that weaves a tapestry of retro and modern rock motifs beautifully into a compilation. Tell us about the journey of curating something like this.

Honestly, we didn’t start this band to just be another cover act copying what’s already out there. We wanted to make something that’s genuinely us. It’s all about keeping it original and pouring some raw, unfiltered emotion into the mix. That’s really how this whole thing came together.

2. How do you aim to utilise the art of music to the benefit of your listeners? Do you think that music has some special purpose?

For us, music is what happens when regular words just aren’t enough. It’s this wild thing that brings people together and helps you say what you actually feel. When people listen to our songs, we just want them to really get what we felt when we wrote those lyrics, you know? Like they’re right there in the room with us.

3. Tell us about how you gather inspiration for your music projects. What does your creative process look like?

There’s no fancy formula for it. Usually, it’s just us hanging out in a room on some random day, grabbing our instruments and seeing what happens. We’ve all got pretty different thoughts and ideas, but the second we start playing, it just clicks and turns into one unified sound.

4. What is the idea behind “Better without you”, in your words.

Put simply, Better without you ties the whole album together. It’s a journey through real-life stuff—the messy setbacks, the hits you take, and figuring out how to come back swinging.

5. If someone is listening to your music for the first time, what would you tell them? Give them a little introduction.

First off, a massive thank you—we wouldn’t be anywhere without you guys and the love you show us. If it’s your first time tuning in, just expect a ton of high-energy, raw sound paired with lyrics that hopefully hit close to home and feel real to your own life.

6. If there could be one thing you can share with your listeners about your art or yourself, what would that be?

Just that there are no shortcuts. It takes real hard work and dedication to do what you love. Keep rocking, keep punking.
