It started with a metal dream deprived of corrosion. Within Ceres is not your average band delivering technical riffs and overcomplicating the genre. When guitarist Odin De Sa made this band in Goa in 2014-there was a long-standing vision. That’s why they are where they are now, and giving the most lethal doses of the genre you can find in the country. These are the kind of bands that should go worldwide, and we are seeing that growth now. This is their latest single release, Kowloon.
Let’s get into lore a little bit now. If you don’t know about Kowloon in Hong Kong, you definitely know it from the reels. One of the most densely populated areas in the world-with megatall apartments and a dystopian look that will make your stomach churn. Let’s move into the music now.
From the beginning, the ominous prediction comes with the dark, fuelling riff. As the vocals rile you up, you start noticing how vile and powerful the riff is, bringing that churning rhythm of the song to life. Within Ceres reflect an incredible insight with this song and don’t shy away from when it gets melodic and the switch to heavy. From production viewpoints to a metal fan just rocking out to this, there is immense pride. These are the heavyweights that guard the gates with a metal hammer so heavy, the Earth shakes below.
The band is tighter and more defined than ever before-they switch between chops of subgenres like it’s nobody’s business. The way they’re receiving love on YouTube is well-deserved, and we hope it reaches many more people. Within Ceres are now on the crux of shifting waves to lands that will erode, with their power and surgical technical ability. Talk about power and dexterous detail coming together with such fantastic unison.

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
