Nushver represent the homecoming of a new type of metal. The 5-piece dark prog metal band from Mumbai are representative of what a generation influenced by decades of this genre can create. Along with the Indian pulse being deeply imbibed in their sound, they craft something that is of pride-with a lot of power. They bring all of it with their powerful debut track, Dead Ænd Beautiful. Prepare for the Deity.
Is there a TOOL reference there? Definitely-for the vocals are suggestive of the same kind of inspiration. The ambience builds like a spiritual wave-glowing and building with complex, reverberating textures. Instrumentals will draw to you a whole other plane, creating a power riff section that remains as memorable as it can get. If the clean vocals drew you in-wait for the growls. Nushver bring an aggression that attacks you from the front in a bold swing.

The rhythm section garnered all my respect. In a 6 plus minute song, there is a lot going on in terms of the metalcore build and anthemic layers. The mix allows you to shine a light on their ambition to represent more than what metal has been presenting to us. The whole band has done a great job of representing their individual styles while adding to the composition in different ways.

Nushver is the creation of another faction of metal within a growing family in India. The way they stay individual-while creating something of value and reverberating resolve, is incredible. This is the kind of music that makes it all as worthwhile; an experience that tags for many more to come:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
