Kaleidoscope Collision – Hiding Place

Plunge into Kaleidoscope Collision’s Spacey Alt Rock “Hiding Place”

Kaleidoscope Collision is the collaborative project of producer-songwriter Jovani and vocalist Heather. Their latest single “Hiding Place” runs just over three minutes, and it started as an older sketch by Jovani that they reworked together into a collaborative composition that helped define their project’s identity. I can hear the rhythmic backbone, built on chugging electric guitars and melodic accents, evolves from a reflective opening into this vibrant, driving chorus.

What caught my attention first was how the spacious drum and bass grooves create this foundation that lets the shimmering guitars gradually build toward what becomes a genuinely anthemic chorus. The mix feels balanced to me, with clarity and warmth both present. I noticed the vocals sit clean and prominent in the arrangement, while the guitar tones shift to become more fluid and assertive when the chorus hits. There’s this inventive mid-section with guitar work that brings in touches of space rock ambiance, which I found particularly compelling.

“Hiding Place” is that happy vibes alternative rock song of running away and flying into space, the “secret hiding place”,  with someone you love. Really enjoy this song, especially the guitar work and the vocal melody. Looking forward to what Kaleidoscope Collision is up to next.
