Sir & Lydia - Nature's End

Sir & Lydia – Nature’s End | Contexture

After a relatively short hiatus since the release of her 2020 single Modesty, Brisbane-based indie progressive rock duo Sir & Lydia observe activity in their discography with the release of their latest track Nature’s End. The four-minute track is understandably a healthy fusion of moody percussive elements, electric guitar ripples and eclectic vocals, creating a thoroughly immersive floaty progressive rock atmosphere. The track leads off with a fade-in natural soundscape of air and birds, quickly getting accompanied by a temperamentally relaxed electric guitar strum. As the vocals merge into a harmonic arrangement, the listener is truly drawn into the prog-rock à la mode sway of the track. The outro is ushered by an almost lachrymose pentatonic lamentation of the electric guitar, summarizing the subliminal aura of the tune. Characteristically dabbling in various genres like alternative indie, progressive rock, ambient music and a bluesy undertone, Sir & Lydia are remarkable additions to the soundscape of each of these categories.

If you are a listener who is into the categories mentioned above, having Sir & Lydia in your playlists should be immediate. Be sure to check out Nature’s End here:
