Hip-hop artist Bentley Fresh, formerly known as Young Suspect, recently released a collaborative project titled ‘Lemonade’ featuring artists Aspen the rapper, IE Musik and Genny. Earlier, he was a part of Dubai-based rap group ‘Custom Made DXB’ before embarking on a solo project under his new moniker in early 2019. Since then, the dutch rapper has released a string of hard-hitting bangers, and with his eighth single out now, it doesn’t appear he’ll be stopping anytime soon!
The rapper introduces the track with a strong verse over booming 808s and a traditional hip-hop beat. From the first line of ‘Lemonade,’ you’ll definitely be reminded of Lil Wayne; Bentley Fresh’s tone and vocal delivery are very similar to the veteran rapper here! The track progresses through a mix of reverb-drenched vocal chops and energizing adlibs that enhance the vocal melody quite well. With sultry and explicit lyrics, the track plays as a steamy narrative that showcases four unique verses by versatile artists.
The song has a cypher-like structure that makes it more appealing to the ears and with each of the rappers having their own style of delivery and distinct vocal tone, ‘Lemonade’ takes on a new colour with every verse. In addition to the seductive lyrics, the studio mix is fairly clean, making the tight performances stand out even more.
Bentley Fresh has collaborated with a number of artists in the past and the fact that he continues to do so, makes his music appeal to a wide audience. With another amazing track added to his discography, the artist continues to deliver strong performances and I’m sure the fans are eager to hear more!
