Deep Dive Species are a Psychedelic Electronica duo that comprises Vadim Militsin and Sergey Popovich. The two musicians have worked on countless projects, of great significance, separately. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck the two decided to join forces to create Deep Dive Species. While both the musicians were in New York during the lockdowns they began their journey of creating psychedelic electronica for the masses to enjoy. Musicians with time on their hands and home studio setups have truly been a blessing during such a trying time.
One Hand Clap, their debut single, foreshadowed their debut album, Aquaphilia. The track kicks off with a somewhat disorienting tone, but it doesn’t take long for you to strap in for the ride. Once the ambient noise subsides, and the beat kicks in, you really feel like you’re on a trip of sorts. The psychedelia takes over, and if you close your eyes, you can’t even tell what’s real anymore. Once you’re plugged in, you’re in for quite the ride with how each and every element is designed to keep you immersed at all points. I’m a huge fan of this immersive effect.
Deep Dive Species are a psychedelic duo that you should keep an eye out for. There’s so much to appreciate in every second of the music. Moreover, you can find yourself relaxing or tripping to the music at any given moment.
