Right off the bat, there’s much to appreciate about the 13 tracks on this album, for they bring you a warm, inviting sound, starting with the title track. While the gentle acoustic guitars lull you to a rhythm, the various vocal layers add punch to the sound, and Brock Davis’ songwriting skills shine through quite brilliantly; with the somber glow of the pianos in the background. As we move on to the next track, “Keep On” brings us a delightful blast of energy with the drumming, which picks up pace in quite the svelte fashion. The vocals remain a standout on this track, too, with soft, smooth flowing delivery coupled with some brilliant lyricism speaking to messages of optimism, sunny hope and enthusiasm.

As we move on to “Make A Family”, “Everyday Miracle” takes a bit of a more introspective, self-looking turn. With decidedly more minimal instrumentation than the rest of the tracks in the intro, the track slows down the energy of the album just enough for us to take a breather, and really reflect — couple this with the thought-provoking lyrics through and through, and you have yet another beautiful listen.
As we journey through “Everyday Miracle”, we’re looking at tracks like “You’d Think I’d Know By Now”, “I’ll Always Be Your Dad”, and “It Takes Just One”, which all shine in their own respects, bringing the sound of the album to an even higher level. The standard of execution throughout this album is high and stellar, with some great riffs and licks coming in from the basses and the guitars at just the right times to drive the kind of emotional impact that would leave even rocky hearts at least a little moist-eyed. Couple this with a tight, well-controlled set of mixes and masters that really do their bit to capture the wide soundstage, and you have an album that remains a cherish-worthy from start to finish, ending with the track, “My Promise To You”.
All in all, “Everyday Miracle”, by Brock Davis: The kind of album you reach for when you seek comforting, warmth, joy and hope. With its delightful guitars and masterful, soulful vocals, this one does not fail to impress.
