‘Hello Forever’ is a brand new album by Ireland-based musician Eoin Shannon. The collection is a tepid mixture of emotions that otherwise would’ve turned cold during the dark phases of life. In a recent interview with The Punk Head, Eoin Shannon fascinates us as he describes how the songs in Hello Forever came to him like a gift as if they had been whispered into his ear. While he created the lyrics for most songs and the vocal melody, it was Larry Magee—a fantastic producer with incredible musicianship—who truly brought these songs to life.
Night Is Dark: “There’s something out there beyond my window. There’s something lurking beyond the garden trees… serotonin has also left me, my brain has become my enemy.” It’s a slow acoustic duet on despondency. Along with Shannon’s deep droning voice and the female voice reflecting a haunting element, the song Night is Dark weaves a tale of shadows that lurk inside the human mind. Night is Dark lets the listeners merge more into the themes of darkness, depressive emotions, and nightmarish spaces which is also the overall theme of the album Hello Forever by Eoin Shannon.
Come Down To The River: The devil’s left an awful stain, in your heart and in your brain… life is taking a toll, come my friend let’s cleanse your Soul. Set your Spirit free, come with me, and be a friend of the Holy Trinity. This song makes me imagine an old Irish folk song that the Tinkers or Wanderers would sing, roaming from one village to the other, playing their bagpipers and flutes. The warmth this song brings into the hearts of the listeners is like that of an old friend, a soul who has come to rescue those in pain.

Gambling Again: I know it’s the dumbass thing. Oh, Lord! I’ve been gambling again! Gambling Again is a fascinating track showcasing Shannon’s craftiness in playful lyrics with deep-life scenarios. The song evokes the self-confession of a man addicted to gambling in life. Whether Shannon is depicting gambling as with money or gambling of his life in this world is for the listeners to cue on. The track has a spirited flow of acoustic and drums, apt for a soft dancing number. Shannon’s Irish tongue gives the song a ‘flirty with life’ effect, pertinent to gambling.
I’d Grabbed You A Chair: Don’t waste it all on moments like these, better things to do with little or me. There are places that you gotta be… Damn! This track here would be the most intriguing song I’ve heard in a while and the best on this list! The heartbeat-mirroring beats have a slight hint of CAS feel in them. But it’s the lyrics that win my heart. Once again, Shannon’s Irish tongue and the nasal tone give the song a temperamental approach to the relationship in question.
Hello Forever: This is not a goodbye. This is Hello Forever! These are the two most beautiful lines that two people, anywhere in the world, can say to each other when it is time to walk their path. And this song would be the most beautifully perfect dedication for that moment. The mix of old Celtic flute in Chinese style is a completely new approach to indie music. Mixing tradition with tradition to flower a contemporary track like this is a brilliant production style. Shannon’s words and poetry work their magic, and this track’s name is worthy of the Album title.
