Champions of Sorrow brings melodic death metal from the fjords with “The Horde”

Champions of Sorrow resonate with the knells of melodic death metal. This project is bound to be your favourite for the passionate delivery of lyrics, melodies and the echoes of something new. As much as it pays homage to the best, there is a layer here that shows us a renewed sense of self. This is one of the strongest death metal debuts you might hear to date. This is called The Horde.

Metal to mourn with

From the opening, the melodic shifts are simple, yet devastating. Rhythm sections cook up a storm, rising with every transition and effect. If you aren’t headbanging from the start, you aren’t listening. The style of the song is unique, while having melodic elements-rippling vocals come into play that startle the silence. Understanding the transitions is difficult, for the relentless percussion clouds the moor. If staring into the fjord brings in the contemplation of death and mortality like this, bury me there. Champions of Sorrow is the project to look out for, and the horde is already a swan song in the making. Guttural echoes of the vocals might ring in your ear long after the song is completed. The sign of any memorable death metal song.
