Good music can bend time and space. Dan Becker might portray himself as another composer and instrumentalist-but there’s far more to his music than you hear. Through complex layers and surreal compositions that sway your thought, he is coming to you with an album called Echoes of Silence that showcase his mastery. This is one you’ll wait for, with purpose.
The album itself will release on 2nd January 2026, rolling around the corner. There are several reasons why this is worth the wait. Having this exclusive listening experience to the 6 track album was extremely cathartic. It’s almost as though Dan Becker has sit by your side silently, while the music has percolated some of the most important memories of your life.
Making the music, from the heart
I cannot impress enough how he has been able to make one instrument sound like a layered, gushing and cascading notational experience. This is beyond notations and sheet music-it’s how he is perceiving the melodies. Dan also has a kickstarter campaign for making this entire experience come to life for everyone. From physical CDs to vinyls, promos and other production-you can make a part of this experience come true with your support. Click here for the link
Powerful songwriting
This is the kind of music that transcends beyond lyrical aesthetics. With the grand piano, there is a rich, incredulous energy that he is able to capture throughout the songs. In stages, you’re supposed to experience it as one linear event. There are certain tracks like Quiet and Penance I personally resonated with much more-and it creates those ripples just beneath your skin. You must also take the time to personally experience his albums like Dialogue and Abject, for these kinds of narrative experiences.
It’s almost as though he is able to study nature, and the nature of things quite effortlessly. A complete shift in the pages of the diary can be heard in Pushing Buttons as well. A steady melody is almost his pulse, over which layers appear like magic.
Fortunately, you don’t need to keep reading about my claim on how fantastic this album is. The album is available for pre-order now right here:
You’d be surprised to listen to the maturity of the composer, who was once a teenage rock guitarist. This is where he stands out, creating a reverie through music which serves as the best form of escapism. Dan Becker is a musician first, who has tunnelled his way to his own world, which he depicts now to us. Echoes of Silence aims to be another step in the journey of deeply impactful music that resonates with purpose. Till the music arrives, you can treat yourself to his last album, and place pre-orders and fund his Kickstarter campaign!:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
