Losers better shake it off, for Taylor Swift just got announced as TIME Person of the Year. This is soon after she was just announced 5th in the Forbes list of the world’s most powerful women. She’s racking up the awards, and she doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon.
The award goes to an event or person deemed to have had the most influence on global events over the past year. On Monday, Time Magazine announced its shortlist of nine candidates for the title. Those included Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Barbie and the striking Hollywood actors and writers.
After having an incredibly successful year, winner Taylor Swift is currently on a break after her mega-successful North American tour. Fans will see her next at the Tokyo Dome in February.
If you haven’t been able to catch her 4 hour a show tour, you can catch her in the theatres with the Eras Tour movie, which has grossed $250 million worldwide. The magazine interaction has also detailed her eventful year, her pets and her music. Her steadfast activism against Ticketmaster’s soaring prices have also been heard by the US Senate for business practices. She’s also been on fire in the blockbuster charts for having five albums in the US Top 10 simultaneously.
She also has seven Grammy nominations, the more than even Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Ritchie. With a cool $1.1 billion net worth, she’s there on the Forbes list for multiple reasons. Guess her account has no blank space.
