Hungarian rapper, singer, and producer Yamazaki crafts a unique fusion of traditional, orchestral, and synth-wave music on the collaborative Japanese album ‘Katsu.’ Having built an audience through VRChat videos and K-Pop covers on YouTube, he began creating original music in 2022, working with talented musicians to explore life’s complexities through intoxicating soundscapes. Through therapeutic songwriting, Yamazaki found both self-understanding and connection with others who felt lost. The album’s title, ‘Katsu’ – the Japanese Zen Buddhism term for ‘shout’ – represents enlightenment and knowing, with lyrics reflecting deeply personal contemplations of past, present, and future potential.
