‘Natural Circle’ by Richard Green, Irene Veneziano and Archima is a piano and string-led instrumental with a solid sense of resolution, calm and conclusion. The track closes out their 2024 EP ‘The Circle Closes’, taking the listener through a nearly 4-minute long sonic odyssey that ends on a deep, but almost restful note.
Its whirling strings dance around a steady, pleasant piano melody before almost settling in-step with this piano melody before leaving the listener with a satisfying, albeit dark conclusion.

‘Natural Circle’: Satisfying Conclusions
‘Natural Circle’ is a soundscape that seems to represent a cyclical journey where the seams of beginning and ending seem to blend with a sense of ebb and flow. Pleasant piano melodies keep the listeners buoyed, engaged through the track while the strings lead emotion.
These instruments oscillate from deep places before seeming to assimilate with the calm firmness of the main piano melody. The song feels like its divided into two: a whirling first half, where the strings feel tethered to something beyond and the swaying second half. This is where the strings meld with main melody, giving the song a different emotional charge that feels new, complete but synced.
The First & Second Half
The first half ‘Natural Circle’ holds within its lines a sense of staccato calm, warm with melodies that are complimentary but don’t necessarily meld together. The melodies almost feel like planets orbiting around eachother, drawn in but never fully connected. Atleast not untl the second half.
The second half of the song comes with a key change, moving from a separate, staccato calm to something that feels deeper and connected. The strings, especially the deep cello, intensify this aiimilation of sorts as the soundscapes bounds towards its calm, but intense, resolution.
These melodies almost feel like a character that evolves from one point to another, without sacrificing a sense of wholeness and completeness. After this urgent shift in timbre and tone, the song seems to settle into this newer state with the deep cellos giving the song a sense of finality and resolution.
‘Natural Circle’ by Richard Green is a dance of string instruments that moves towards a sense of resolution and whole completeness. It tells a full story unto itself, giving the listener this sense of going on an expansive journey in what amounts to a short amount of time.
