Baker’s vocal is at the centre of the track, delivered with a relaxed confidence that suits the song well. There’s warmth to his performance, but he doesn’t oversell the emotion. Baker keeps the songwriting and production uncluttered, and the track benefits from it. “On Our Way” is warm, melodic and quietly encouraging — the kind of song that understands sometimes progress itself is enough reason to keep going.
