What happens when you combine an ominous, eerie sound with a whole bunch of energy? You get “Hello” by D3lta. Keep reading on to discover this song with me, and how this song deserves to be your top earworm this week.
Born in Athens, Greece, and based out of London, D3lta has been part of the Universal Music Group since 2018– and I think that is where talented musicians call the hallmark. This has been my first time checking D3lta out, in all honesty, but I will admit that very few people have left this kind of an impact on first sight (listen, perhaps?)
A soup of energy in a boiling cauldron of dark, angsty hard rock is how I can best describe “Hello”. The vocals are spot on for the mood– like the full moon in a cloudless sky, assisted by the proud ring of the guitars and the headbang-worthy drumming that both dictate the pace of this number, as well as keep it pristinely.
There is this… grandeur to this song that I can’t seem to describe as anything quite different. The pride that shines through quite clearly in this arrangement is something to truly listen to and know for yourself. The guitar playing is also tastefully done, with an excellent balance of when to play the second fiddle and when to bellow aloud. The whole song has a very confident air to it, and I am a fan.
Technically, this song fits beautifully together. The atmosphere is damn near perfect. D3lta’s vocals are outstanding, especially during the pre-chorus and the chorus; an exemplary display of vocal range as well as dynamics complemented by some very smart mixing decisions on behalf of the man at the console too. The songwriting has mor than enough variety, yet it still somehow all makes sense in the end.
In summation, “Hello” by D3lta has my full recommendation and two thumbs up. You need to check this number out to know what I’m talking about.
