Rising from Berlin’s underground, they’ve quickly become a force in electronic music, launching the inclusive SEVEN label in 2024 to spotlight queer and FLINTA* artists. Their production work, including five EPs since 2022, has earned support from industry heavyweights like Deetron and Cinthie. As a De Reünie resident and global performer, CRYME has shared stages with icons like Honey Dijon, spreading their uplifting sound from European clubs to Asian festivals.
CRYME has released a new EP, “Reality Rush,” featuring five songs.
The title track, “Reality Rush,” kicks off with thumping EDM beats and builds nicely as the synths layer in, picking up momentum at a perfect pace. Your head will be nodding along by the first minute. Around 2:05, female vocal samples enter the mix while the music takes a brief breather, only to sweep you back into the groove again. It’s a solid 6+ minutes of well-crafted dance music.
Next up, “Reality Rush (Christoph Faust Remix)” opens with mysterious synths and slow bass beats, taking its time to develop as new elements join the mix. The track has a strong techno foundation that makes it seriously catchy. Male vocals appear throughout, working as another rhythmic element rather than taking center stage. Over its 7:50 runtime, the track keeps throwing in new elements that make each listen rewarding. It’s the kind of track you’ll want to revisit.

“Aurora” hits differently – the moment it starts, you better have those dancing shoes ready because this one’s a trip and a half. There’s this wild fusion happening where crisp percussion rhythms crash into EDM beats, while the haunting synths also glide through it all, creating a hypnotic spell. The techno kick is pure dynamite. I found myself completely lost in it, and I mean that in the best way possible. It might be minimal in its approach, but sometimes, that’s all you need when every element hits this hard. Hands down, my favorite track on the EP – it’s just that good.
“Orbit Exp” by CRYME is exactly what it says on the tin – a cosmic journey that’ll have you floating through space while your feet are still moving on the dance floor. The trippy synths paired with relentlessly upbeat rhythms create the perfect sweet spot between floating and grooving. You know that feeling when you’re so deep in the music that gravity seems optional? Yeah, that’s what they’ve captured here.
“Reality Rush (Mesmer Remix)” brings this killer EP home in style. After all that intensity, it’s like they knew we needed a moment to catch our breath. The track eases in with steady, hypnotic beats and synths that just hook you from the start. What’s cool is how it builds – nothing rushed, just this natural progression that keeps drawing you deeper. It’s got the dreamy quality that feels like floating on clouds but still keeps enough groove to keep you moving. Light and airy but never losing that pulse – honestly, I don’t think there is a better way to wrap up this absolute gem of an EP.
