“Abhi Kabhi Sabhi” is based on the thought, the philosophy that reflects on embracing both joy and sorrow as part of existence, encouraging us to live in the present, and that by letting go of past burdens and future anxieties, we can experience freedom in the flow of the moment; and this is a sentiment that bleeds through the entirety of the song.

Right from the start of the track, the violins present a happy major progression, soon accompanied by the scratchy acoustics and Rameez’s beautifully executed vocals. As the energy resolves into the pre-chorus, more vocal layers make their entrance to complete the elegant, minimalistic ensemble.
The drumming keeps things beautifully in sync, with its emphasis on the backbeat; and the singing is what steals the show on “Abhi Kabhi Sabhi” — and the bridges are dominated by the solo violin performances, which are superbly executed, yielding a whole load of dimensionality to the song. The verses are beautifully written, with an almost-poetic quality to them, furthering the beauty of living in the present.

The production, as I may have alluded to earlier, carries a light, airy sound, with clever use of the guitars, vocal layers, and drumming. The basses as well play a great anchor throughout the song, making for a resonant low-end, while the cymbals make for a sparkly, present top — and the violin dances through the middle registers, playing perfect companion to the vocals. As the song draws to a close, one can’t help but reach for the repeat button — once, and then again.
