Cigarettes After Sex Launches New Album X’s

Cigarettes After Sex has solidified their place in the ambient pop scene with 2.5 million record sales, 3 billion Spotify streams, and 800 million YouTube views. The X’s Tour is set to deliver an unforgettable experience, featuring a mix of the band’s cherished tracks from past albums alongside the already chart-topping songs from their latest release, known for its poetic lyrics. Indian fans will have the chance to dive into the atmospheric and introspective world of Cigarettes After Sex, a band often described as “the soundtrack to a dream.”

The band’s highly anticipated new album, X’s, has made a significant impact, delivering ethereal dream pop ballads that have captivated eager fans. X’s blends Cigarettes After Sex’s signature dream pop with the nostalgic warmth of ‘90s pop and the vibrant glow of ‘70s dance music, evoking both immediate joy and lingering melancholy. A ten-track studio album, X’s is a deeply personal and intimate collection of songs. Frontman Greg Gonzalez has shared that preservation, catharsis, and profound self-reflection are crucial to both his creative process and his artistry. Although Gonzalez maintains classic pop song structures, he has shifted away from the ‘50s and ‘60s influences of earlier works, embracing a ‘70s/’80s slow dance vibe.
