Parikrama Celebrates 35 Years of Indian Rock with Landmark Delhi Concert and New Single ‘Inside My Skin’
Parikrama is gearing up to celebrate an extraordinary milestone as it completes 35 years of shaping and inspiring the Indian rock music landscape. Known for their electrifying live performances, powerful compositions, and enduring fan following, the band continues to inspire generations of rock acts in Asia.
Formed in 1991, Parikrama has played a pivotal role in popularizing rock music in India. Over the years, their international performances have further elevated their stature, including sharing the stage with global heavy metal giants Iron Maiden at the prestigious Download Festival in England.
Among their many achievements, the band’s celebrated track But It Rained earned a place in Rolling Stone India’s list of the “25 Greatest Indian Rock Songs of the Last 30+ Years,” highlighting their lasting impact on the country’s music culture.

The current lineup features vocalist Nitin Malik, keyboardist Subir Malik, bassist Gaurav Balani, drummer Srijan Mahajan, and lead guitarist Abhishek Mittal, who joined the band in 2020. The legacy of late guitarist Sonam Sherpa continues to inspire fans and musicians alike. Supporting the band’s signature sound are accomplished artists including Suhail Ali Khan on violin, Shambu Nath on percussion, Shashank Singhania on flute, and Dhruv Bedi on sitar.
As part of the celebrations, Parikrama will perform a special concert at Delhi’s The Piano Man Eldeco Centre on June 13
The festivities will continue with the release of their brand-new single, Inside My Skin, on June 17, ushering in an exciting new chapter in the band’s remarkable journey.
