This fall, rock music aficionados are in for a treat. A Tribute Tour has been organised to the iconic sounds of King Crimson, the pioneers of 80’s progressive rock. Former members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, alongside guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool’s drummer Danny Carey, has united to form the supergroup BEAT.
BEAT will embark on a monumental 42-date North American tour. Starting from September 12th in San Jose, California, and culminating on November 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tour will grace iconic venues like The Beacon Theater in New York and Massey Hall in Toronto across the continent. BEAT will breathe new life into King Crimson’s classic 1980’s albums: Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair.
Here is the reveal story of the SuperGroup BEAT and how it all came together:
Adrian Belew expresses his enthusiasm for resurrecting the timeless, complex, and fierce music of King Crimson, while Steve Vai acknowledges the privilege of honouring such monumental compositions. Tool’s Danny Carey also shares his excitement for sharing the stage with musical inspirations, echoing the sentiment of a dream come true.
With the blessing of King Crimson founder Robert Fripp, BEAT’s ambitious endeavour promises a spellbinding experience, offering a glimpse into the intricate yet beautifully orchestrated world of King Crimson, a testament to the enduring legacy of progressive rock.
