Nagaland-based guitarist Imnainla Jamir has joined the Ibanez family as its very first Indian female endorsee. This denotes a watershed moment in the history of Indian music on a global stage.
A Landmark Moment for Indian Guitarists
Naga guitarist Imnainla Jamir has recently joined Ibanez’s roster of endorsees! This is a major achievement for both her and the Indian guitar community as she becomes the first female guitarist from the country to be included in this list.

This also means that India has made its space in the international music circuit which has always been otherwise mostly dominated by Western artists.
