Florence + The Machine return this Halloween with a treat.
Florence + The Machine are about to make Halloween a whole lot louder. The indie rock band just announced their brand-new album, Everybody Scream, dropping October 31.

Cryptic Teasing and Album Reveal
Florence Welch and co. revealed the news on Tuesday, Aug. 19, posting the album artwork alongside a delightfully eerie message: “Florence and the Machine. Everybody Scream. The new album. This Halloween.” True to form, the reveal followed weeks of cryptic teasing, including a bizarre clip of Welch stabbing the ground with a dagger, then screaming into the freshly dug hole. Because why whisper when you can scream into the void?
Fans can already snag pre-orders from the band’s official site, with multiple versions of the record on offer. The standard edition packs 12 brand-new tracks, while deluxe CD and vinyl editions come with four special “chamber versions” for those who like their Florence a little more intimate (and possibly a little more haunted).
Everybody Scream marks Florence + The Machine’s sixth studio album, their first since 2022’s Dance Fever. Details are scarce, but Welch may have already dropped hints. In early July, she shared a chaotic Instagram photo dump that included studio shots with Idles guitarist Mark Bowen and a mysterious whiteboard scribbled with notes like “Clarity = Power,” “VOCALS!!!,” and the strangely intriguing “Swans vs. Adele.”
What has Florence Welch Been Upto These Days?
Since Dance Fever, Florence has kept busy with new sounds and unexpected covers. We’ve had the dreamy single “Mermaids,” a fierce spin on No Doubt’s Just a Girl for the Yellowjackets soundtrack, and a haunting take on “White Cliffs of Dover” for Apple TV+’s The New Look. Plus, earlier this year she teamed up with Everything Is Recorded and Sampha for the collaborative track “Never Felt Better.”
This Halloween, Florence + The Machine aren’t just handing out candy, they’re giving us an album designed to make us, well… scream.
